Year 7 Pinnacle Program
Each year Kingscliff High School runs a program to cater for aspirational Year 7 students known as the Pinnacle Program. The philosophy behind the Pinnacle Program is to provide a challenging educational environment for students who endeavour to display high levels of academic and personal achievement with a commitment to learning. Student selection utilises the NSW Department of Education High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) Policy in the domains of creative, intellectual, physical and social-emotional.

T2 Wk 1 - Monday 30/4/25 - Applications open
T2 Wk 5 - Friday 30/5/25 - Cut-off date for applications
T2 Wk 7 - Wednesday 11/6/25 - Selection assessments, from 6pm in the School Hall
T2 Wk 7 – Thursday 12/6/25 and Friday 13/6/25 (dates TBC) - Student interviews at Kingscliff High School
T2 Wk 10 - First Round offers emailed
YEAR 7 – TRANSITION INTO HIGH SCHOOL
To enable smooth transition into high school, the Head Teacher-Admin works closely with the Year 7 Adviser, and the following information relates to Year 7:
Year 7 ‘K-Day' Orientation Program
The first two days of Term 1 for Year 7, students will participate in a program designed to familiarise them with all aspects of the high school setting.
Parent Information Night - Thursday 6 March 2025 from 5:30pm
Includes welcoming to our new Year 7 2025 families aswell as providing information for all prospective parents.

Parent Teacher Night - Tuesday 8 April 2025
There will be an opportunity at the end of Term 1 for parents/carers to attend the Parent Teacher night.
Open Night - all students, parents and families welcome - Thursday 6 March 2025 from 5:30pm-7:00pm
All families are invited to attend Kingscliff High School Open Night. Information will include: Year 7 parent information, Q&A sessions, Meet the Year Advisers, Meet the Principal and Deputy Principals and you will hear information about the High Potential and Gifted Education and our school's Pinnacle Program.
Year 6 Orientation Day for Year 7 2026 - end of Term 4 2025 (date TBC)
Year 6 2025 students are invited to attend Kingscliff High School in Term 4, date TBC for the Orientation Day for Year 7 2026. Students will meet their Year Adviser, Principal, Deputy Principal and Teachers and rotate through a series of fun activities.
